Sometimes, There’s Sparkle #2

The second edition took the form of a frottage drawing made directly from the cast-iron fireplace in my home. Framed on the page to resemble an etching plate, each rubbing was unique, shaped by touch, pressure and the irregularities of the fire surround.

Made during an extended period at home, the works emerged from an attentiveness to domestic space grounded in bodily contact and close observation.

Each edition included a handwritten letter and a small surprise token.
